Parable of the Singing Musician

(the story of Monti)

His was the ever-ending dilemma to create

A new sound phenomenon, like the "Beatles".

He had a gift for

Intriguing chords,

Magnetic rhythms,

Strummed weeping melodies,

And an accompanying voice that would always capture

That missing harmony.

He wrote songs that his cronies cheered,

And before the night was over,

They rendered stupendously, amateurish

Musical arrangements.

He must have taught dozens of "candidates",

Only to become discouraged in the end.

Yet, still he forged ahead with his tenacious smile...

And bringing his music everywhere he turned.

He pushed on in his search for that "Magical Mystery" band.

And after a number of disappointments,

Brought about by-

Conflicts of ego,

Musical alterations,

And growing indifferences,

He gave up, dishearteningly.

Yet, it was at that very moment that he finally realized...

That by seeking and training

All these promising "band members",

That only he could create the sound

That he had so earnestly sought +)
